PS4 UPDATE SEES CHANGES ON APP ICON....NOT ALOT THOUGH

The latest firmware update for PlayStation 4 is now live, bringing with it a handful of changes, including a new look for the console's various app icons.

While Sony's patch notes for system software update version 4.70 don't specify the change, Polygon noticed several icons, including those for the PlayStation Store, PlayStation Now and PlayStation Vue now feature a flat design. See a comparison of the old and new look below:

In addition to the new icons, update 4.70 "improves system performance" and now allows match results for each player to be viewed in tournaments.

In less than two weeks' time, Sony will offer a peek at what's on the horizon for PS4 owners with its PlayStation E3 Media Showcase. The conference, which will be broadcast live in over 85 theaters across the United States, Canada and Latin America, will take place on Monday, June 12.

While Gates doesn’t reveal the exact model, he does note that it has “a lot of Microsoft software” on it, which could suggest it’s a special  Microsoft Edition Samsung Galaxy S8 handset  with bundled software. Microsoft started selling the Samsung Galaxy S8 handset in its retail stores earlier this year, and it includes apps like Office, OneDrive, Cortana, and Outlook.
